Senior Software Engineer, Backend

Job Description: Get to Know the Team The Merchant Growth Platform PST in Malaysia supports merchant marketing products and owns ads, reports, internal tools, and third-party Integration domains for marketing related products. Get to Know the Role We are looking for a candidate who embodies ownership, displays a hunger for learning and improvement, and excels in autonomy. You will report to the Software Engineering Manager II and be base onsite in our Malaysia office at Petaling Jaya, Selangor. The Critical Tasks You Will Perform You will: - Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and efficient backend systems and applications - Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements - Develop and maintain technical documentation for backend systems and applications - Participate in code reviews and ensure that solutions are aligned with industry standards and best practices - Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and bugs in backend systems and applications

Qualifications: What Essential Skills You Will Need - 4+ years of experience in backend software development with languages such as Golang, Java, or Python. - Proficiency in cloud-based technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud - Experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes - Strong understanding of database systems, including relational and NoSQL databases - Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git
