Software Test Engineer

About the Team ZF is developing conventional transmission, hybrid transmission and electrical modules such as invertor, E machine and eVD system for passenger cars for the Chinese market at our R&D center with support from our German R&D facilities. What you can look forward to as a Software Test Engineer: Analyze software requirements, system requirements, and test specifications to develop comprehensive test plans and test cases.

Perform functional, regression, and software testing. Execute testing of communication protocols, including CAN,CANFD LIN, Ethernet, UDS, and network management functions. Verify diagnostic functions, bootloader functionality, cybersecurity mechanisms, and software update processes. Conduct testing of AUTOSAR Basic Software (BSW) modules, including task monitoring, memory protection, watchdog, error handling, and safety mechanisms.

Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python, CAPL, or other test automation tools. Analyze test results, identify software defects, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues. • Support software integration, validation, and release activities throughout the software development lifecycle. Perform requirement traceability and test coverage analysis to ensure compliance with project and quality standards.

Your Profile as a Software Test Engineer: At least 3 years of experience in software functional testing of automotive electronic modules/ECUs. Experience in EVD product software functional testing. Experience in UDS, network management, CAN communication, bootloader, and cybersecurity functional testing. Experience in basic software functional testing, such as task monitoring, memory protection, safety mechanisms, and error handling.

Experience with project management toolchain, such as Code beamer, Doors, and ClearQuest. Experience in Python and CAN programming. Why you should choose ZF in Hangzhou?
