Operating under the Chief Electrician, the role ensures guest comfort and equipment reliability by managing assigned vessel zones, providing rapid emergency response through a dedicated night on-call rotation, and performing any additional general technical duties as reasonably required.

Key Responsibilities: Main Duties and Responsibilities: Zone Ownership & Maintenance: Take dedicated ownership of assigned shipboard zones (specifically dividing accommodation, galleys, pantries, and public spaces with the second Assistant Electrician) to perform daily inspections, corrective and preventative maintenance on LV systems. On-Call & Emergency Response: Participate in a shared night on-call rotation, remaining constantly reachable via shipboard communication devices to provide immediate, courteous troubleshooting for passenger cabin electrical faults and critical hotel/catering equipment failures. Galley & Hotel Equipment Support: Provide primary electrical troubleshooting and repair services for all catering machinery, laundry equipment, and domestic appliances, ensuring prompt resolution of defects to minimize disruption to the Hotel Department. Housekeeping & Inventory: Maintain electrical workshops and tool lockers in a clean, highly organized, and sea-fast condition. Monitor stock levels of common electrical consumables and promptly report replenishment needs to the Chief Electrician. Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to electrical safety protocols, Lock-out/Tag-out isolation procedures, and Permit to Work requirements, while ensuring personal compliance with work and rest hour regulations.
