Engineer - Operation Excellence

Job Summary: NOV is looking for an Engineer, Operational Excellence to join our Fiber Glass Systems team in Sohar, Oman. This role will lead site-level operational excellence and quality control activities, supervise the QC team, and drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and customer satisfaction. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline.

Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in quality, operational excellence, manufacturing, inspection, testing, or process improvement. Experience with quality control, RCA/CAPA, NCR management, inspection planning, data analysis, and continuous improvement. Experience supervising or coordinating a technical team. Knowledge of QMS, Lean/CI tools, KPI tracking, document control, calibration, and manufacturing processes.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong reporting/presentation skills. Fluent written and spoken English. Preferred Experience in fiberglass, composites, pipe manufacturing, oilfield equipment, or similar manufacturing environments. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent certification. Experience with Power BI, Minitab, ERP/MES, or quality management systems. Arabic language skills and local market experience are an advantage.

Key Responsibilities Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, RCA and CAPA methodologies. Analyze production and quality data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities. Develop and maintain KPIs, dashboards, action trackers, and management reports. Lead and support the daily activities and development of the QC team. Ensure incoming, in-process, final product, and dispatch inspections meet customer and quality requirements.

Manage NCRs, corrective actions, inspection records, calibration controls, and quality documentation. Support QMS activities and internal, external, customer, and supplier audits. Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, HSE, and Quality teams to improve processes and product quality. Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
