Demi Chef de Partie - Pastry

Job Description: What you will be doing: Actively share ideas, opinions and suggestions to improve the environment and menus. Ensure the consistency in the preparation of all food items for a la carte and/or buffet menus according to property recipes and standards. Check the taste, temperature and visual appeal of food items prepared to ensure that the quality and portion are consistent and as per specifications set out. Ensure that all safety, health, security and loss control policies and procedures and Government legislation are adhered to Communicate effectively with the rest of the team and thrive for guest feedback. Conduct regular quality checks on pastry products to uphold the hotel's standards of excellence, presentation, and taste. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, HACCP standards, and sanitation requirements to maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Qualifications: Your experience and skills include: Fantastic passion for presentation and a meticulous eye for detail. Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a similar position, preferably in a 5 star hotel. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment. Well versed in all aspects of Food Hygiene, HACCP and ISO to ensure safe working practices are followed within the kitchen. Strong communication, organisational skills and grooming standards.
